Fachvereine

At UZH, the student associations represent your interests to the institute and faculty. Changes that specifically affect your degree program should always be discussed within the student association. At the Faculty of Philosophy and the Faculty of Science, there is also a student association conference. This conference provides the student associations with the opportunity to exchange information, present a united front to their faculty, elect student representatives to all committees within their respective faculty, and discuss common university policy positions. The student associations thus play an indispensable role in representing student interests, and good cooperation among all of us is extremely helpful for effectively addressing current issues.

Of course, student associations also take on another extremely important task: organizing and running a wide variety of events that make a significant contribution to campus life at UZH. And finally, many student associations offer various opportunities to help you succeed in your studies. Whether you need study tips, just want to hang out, or want to make new friends, student associations are the right place for you.

If your degree program doesn't yet have a student association, you can easily start one yourself. If you have any questions, our Impulse Factory will be happy to help!

Evaluation

A key task of student associations is to provide feedback to students' lecturers and departments. Therefore, it is particularly important for student associations to request the results of teaching evaluations from their respective departments. As representatives of the students in a given subject, it is crucial that they can provide well-founded feedback on their needs.
