Commissions
Besides the board and the council, the delegates in the commissions and committees are central to the work of the VSUZH. The students work on specific topics or subject areas in these committees and report their work to the council and board. This information, in turn, serves as the basis for decisions made by the council and board.
The topics covered by the committees are as diverse as university life itself. They encompass areas that affect university learning and life and are discussed in university policy. For example, the Sustainability Committee advocates for not only the VSUZH (Association of Students at the University of Zurich) but the entire University of Zurich to adapt and implement its strategies for the sake of the environment. Another example is the Services Committee, which regularly organizes events such as speed dating, sports day, and the Powderfest (a student-run festival). We also have seats on university committees and can collaborate directly with the University of Zurich. Working in these various bodies is crucial for the development of student life and is at the heart of student engagement.

Student committees
The student committees consist exclusively of students. Some of these committees are formed for a limited time to address short-term issues. Examples include gathering arguments for or against a tuition fee increase or planning and conducting a survey about the Oerlikon campus. You can find a detailed description of all the committees here.
The following student commissions exist indefinitely and are enshrined in the statutes of the VSUZH:
Education Policy Commission (BiKo)
