UZHGYM

The project evolved from the parent project "HSGYM": In 2006, around 500 secondary school teachers from Zurich and lecturers from the University of Zurich, ETH Zurich, and two universities of applied sciences joined forces to improve the transition from secondary school to higher education. The publication "University Entrance Qualification and Study Skills – Zurich Dialogue at the Interface with Analyses and Recommendations for 25 Subject Areas," published in 2008, presented over 200 proposals for optimizing this interface. Since then, a cantonal project management team and 20 subject-specific conferences (HSGYM Network) have been working to implement selected recommendations.

Further information about the project, such as presentation dates, buddies, etc., can be found on our website .

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact uzh-gym@vsuzh.ch .

The UZHGYM project (University of Zurich and Gymnasium) of the VSUZH in cooperation with the Central Student Advisory Service of the UZH is a project by students for pupils to make it easier for them to transition from Gymnasium to university.

On the one hand, the project offers presentations at grammar schools, and on the other hand, it offers a buddy program to provide interested grammar school students with more in-depth information about studying.
