Stands at the UZH
The University of Zurich has four student representative bodies. These are defined in Section 19 of the University Act and guarantee the right to participate in university affairs. The respective representative bodies elect delegates to the university, faculty, and institute committees. The representative bodies thus fulfill an important function in representing their respective members.
Student status
As the student association of the University of Zurich, we represent the Bachelor's and Master's students of the UZH. We also represent the students of the teaching diploma program for secondary schools.
State of young scientists
The VAUZ is the professional organization of enrolled doctoral students (with or without employment at UZH) as well as holders of qualification positions (assistant, assistant, senior assistant and postdoctoral researchers)
State of advanced researchers and teachers
Zu den fortgeschrittenen Forschenden und Lehrenden der UZH gehören wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter*innen, Oberärzt*innen Dozierende, die über eine privatrechtliche Anstellung verfügen und Dozierende, deren Entschädigung über eine Entsendungsvereinbarung geregelt wird.

Status of administrative and technical staff
The administrative and technical staff consists of people who are employed at the university and are generally not involved in research and teaching.
