The Irchelfest is a non-profit student party where over 2,400 students come together to celebrate in the heart of the Irchel campus. It is based on the concept of the renowned Medifest, which has been a firmly established annual tradition since 1992 and was always organized by the Medifest association.

Since 2026, the Irchel Festival has been organized through a new collaboration between the Medifest association and the VSUZH (Association of University Students at Zurich University). As part of this collaboration, the Medifest was renamed the Irchel Festival. This allows us to offer discounted tickets to students from other disciplines as well.

Despite the new name, the festival remains true to its medical theme and invites students from all disciplines to gain an insight into the "medical world".
